John Carpenter Returns To Score Halloween Kills And Halloween Ends

John Carpenter has confirmed that he will be returning to provide the score for the upcoming films Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.

One of the biggest selling points of Halloween (2018) was that John Carpenter came on board as a producer (essentially giving the film his seal of approval), and that he scored the movie (as he did for the original Halloween in 1979). The question on everyone’s mind as of late is whether he will be returning for Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends (slated for October 2020 and October 2021 respectively).

Fortunately, the answer seems to be “yes”. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Carpenter declared “I’ll do the score, do a new score. That’s always fun… I’m on board. Let’s go. I’m aboard. I’m ready, I love the experience.” The interview explicitly confirms that he will be making a return in said movies, so by all accounts, it seems to be happening.

Halloween Kills will arrive in theaters on October 16th, 2020 followed by Halloween Ends on October 15th, 2021, with Jamie Lee Curtis starring and Gordon Green directing. There will probably be more news and casting announcements for the films in the coming years, so stay tuned for more.
