Evangeline Lilly May Be Female Lead in Upcoming Ant-Man Movie 1

Evangeline Lilly May Be Female Lead in Upcoming Ant-Man Movie

Evangeline Lilly is being considered as the female lead in the upcoming Ant-Man movie, according to an article from Variety .

While nothing is certain, some insiders say she might be playing the romantic interest of Scott Lang (who is being played by Paul Rudd). Another article from The Hollywood Reporter states that Lilly’s role is “not intended to be a one-off appearance.” Perhaps this is a hint that she is The Wasp? But nothing confirmed as of yet.

Famous for her roles in LOST and more recently, The Hobbit, Lilly has been in the scene for quite awhile. Lilly is also a Canadian-born actress, originating from Alberta. One of her first roles in film was as a police officer in The Lizzie McGuire Movie. How things have changed.

Magic: The Gathering Movie Is A Thing

Well, it’s happened. Just when you thought Hollywood was making too many silly adaptations, they pull out a Magic: The Gathering movie out of their hats.

The announcement came from The Hollywood Reporter, who says “20th Century Fox has closed a deal to acquire the hugely popular fantasy card game from Hasbro and will develop the property with an eye to launch a massive franchise on the scale of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.”

Personally, I grew up playing Magic: The Gathering as a kid. I still have my Squee card that I bought off eBay way back in the day. Needless to say, it holds a special place in my heart. But at no point did I think “hey, they should turn this into a movie!”

But hey, maybe I’m completely wrong. Anyways, keep it tuned to CGM for more info on the movie based on a card game.

Evangelion 3.0 Comes To Canada 1

Evangelion 3.0 Comes To Canada

Last month, FUNimation announced a list of select theatres across North America premiering the English dub of Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. And luckily, Toronto was part of that list.

The film is premiering in two locations tomorrow (Yonge-Dundas and Silver City Fairview Mall) at 12:55 p.m.. For the unaware, Evangelion is the third of four movies that depict a re-imagining of Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the most famous anime of all time.

While it may be too late to buy tickets for these two screenings, there will be another one next week on the 16th (at the same cinemas) at 7:30 p.m. But Toronto isn’t the only place in Canada that’s getting this treatment: Thunder Bay, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Saskatoon and Montreal are just a few of the many other cities premiering the film tomorrow.
